Mmmm Fall

 I love love love Fall.  This year especially I am loving the cooler weather.  I love the colours of Fall and I absolutely love the flavours of Fall!  Mmm... pumpkin, gingerbread, and the yummy spices that go along with those!  I decided to have a baking day today to stock the freezer a bit and to have some treats for lunches and to give away to teachers and neighbours.  I made Mini Pumpkin Scones, Pumpkin Loaf and Gingerbread Biscotti.
They all turned out great.  The house is warm and smells amazing!  I really love Fall!

Glasses

My lovely girl got glasses!  I was surprised that she was so excited about them.  She's had them about a week now and she is not quite as keen about them as she was, but she's been wearing them and taking very good care of them.

Kindergarten

So sassy and so ready :)

 Well it came, I had hoped it wouldn't but my sweet Colie had her first day of Kindergarten.  There was no way for me to stop it... and she didn't want me to.  She was so very excited, she sang songs and danced around all morning!
When we got to the classroom, we went in and found her cubby and hung up her backpack, and changed into her (also sparkly) indoor shoes.  She had already met the teacher last week, and had a tour of the classroom, so she felt very comfortable.  She kissed me goodbye and that was that... I had to scoot really quickly out of the room so she wouldn't see me crying.  Such a huge milestone in her little life, but I'd way rather have her happy and enjoying it, than to have her be the one crying.  We are so thankful that she is so ready to be a big Kindergartener :)

When we picked her up at the end of the afternoon, she said the day was GREAT!  The only problem is that there are 2 Nicole's in the class so she will have to be Nicole L all year... I guess we can deal with that!
I am definitely going to try and savour these afternoons to myself as they will be short lived.  6 weeks until New Baby is due!

New {School} Year's Resolutions

I hesitate to make resolutions so publically, however perhaps I need some accountability :)  I am resolving to do a new blog post weekly, there I said it!

Today was the first day of school for Jayme and Brady (Nicole will start Kindergarten next week)  They were very excited, and didn't seem nervous at all.

Yesterday we met the teachers and this year I feel like we are blessed with great teachers.
I head there to pick them up in a few minutes, hopefully the day was all they anticipated it to be!
